Arrival and settlement in New Zealand

William and Betsy Ivory along with their four children arrived in Lyttelton aboard Cashmere on 23rd October 1855. They were followed by Aquila and Ann Ivory and their two children who arrived aboard Glentanner on 3rd October 1857.

Hawkins, D. N. - in his authoritative local histories Beyond the Waimakariri and Rangiora provides an account of the Ivory family settlement in the Waimakariri district.
